My Story

As all of you lovely people know, there is nothing more i enjoy than a glass of wine or gin and tonic to unwind at the end of a busy day or celebrate a well deserved weekend or day off. I've decided to set myself the challenge of no wobbly pop aka 'Sober for October' to raise money for the Newcastle West End Foodbank after seeing some of the great work they do for our local community. They provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.  Opening back in March 2013 it's one of the busiest foodbanks in the UK, providing food parcels that feed over 30,000 people annually offering food assistance to people in the west end of Newcastle; which is one of the most economically and socially deprived areas in the North East.

In the majority of cases they are able to support people in overcoming their food crisis after only three visits which is fantastic

Nobody in our community should have to face going hungry and i know with the support of my friends and family, we can make a difference to those in need.
